After fifteen years of running a busy soft furnishing business on Sydney’s North Shore, the pull of a quieter, less stressful life was too much to ignore so we sold the business, packed up our young family and headed south to the gorgeous town of Gundaroo.
It was difficult to sit still for too long with constant requests for curtains and blinds all around the Canberra region and let’s be honest I missed the beautiful fabrics. I missed being able to transform a space by adding a soft floaty sheer or help insulate a room by adding curtains with a blockout lining. Or jazzing up a nursery that was barely bigger than a shoe box with a striking roman blind in a fabric that made the parents smile every time they walked in the room.
Let’s face it, new curtains and blinds are something that you undertake once every ten, or dare I say 20 years. They have to look good, complement the room and most importantly fit properly so you can get the most out of your investment.
